The Botanical Extracts Library
Here, you will find simple and effective ways to use essential oils therapeutically during your healing journey and beyond. I only recommend using high-quality, therapeutic-grade essential oils (I choose to use doTERRA) so don’t be surprised if you get lack-luster results with other brands. While internal use is safe with doTERRA’s oils, please do not ingest anything other than a certified pure therapeutic-grade oil.
This is the infamous immune-system-boosting blend. It uses Frankincense, Lemon, Oregano, OnGuard and Melaleuca (nicknamed “FLOOM”) which are all anti-viral, anti-bacterial and healing oils.
Just like food, there are specific oils that help our bodies naturally and gently detoxify. Here is a list of essential oils to use if you need extra detoxification support.
Anthropologie Diffuser Blend
You can’t walk into an Anthro store without noticing the addicting, sweet aroma coming from their Capri Blue candles. This blend has all the same goodness without the hormone-disrupting chemicals and “fragrance”.
No matter how carefully you eat, you can’t always avoid the occasional bloating, indigestion or nausea. Specific herbs are incredible for putting those symptoms at bay while you investigate the root cause of those issues!
Headache & Tension Support
There’s nothing like a gnarly headache or sore muscles to take you out of commission for the day. Frankincense, Copaiba and Peppermint are all very helpful in reducing inflammation and tension. Oils, water and rest usually does the trick.
With the amount of endocrine disruptors in our food and products, it’s no surprise we need help balancing our hormones. When used daily, these oils can yield powerful results.
The word “fragrance” can include hundreds of chemicals without the company having to list any of them. These toxins are known endocrine-disruptors and have no place in the air or on the skin.
The household cleaners on the market nowadays contain some of the most harsh, toxic ingredients. These oils are safer (and have even been shown to be more effective) than the conventional options out there.
Stress & Anxiety Support
There’s power in the pause. When we’re in a parasympathetic state, our bodies are able to digest, detoxify and heal. Specific oils like Lavender and Ylang Ylang are known to aid a relaxation response.
If you’re not getting good sleep every night, your body is unable to heal and restore. While there are other factors that need to be addressed, oils are an incredible way to promote restful sleep.
Fresh Home Scents
Candles and room sprays (like Febreeze) are loaded with neurotoxic, immunotoxic and carcinogenic chemicals, all hiding behind the word “fragrance”. The diffuser blends are a safe, refreshing and beautiful alternative.
When you do come down with the unfortunate cold and you’re struggling to breathe through your nose, these oils can be a game-changer. This way, you can sleep more soundly and get the rest your body needs in order to heal!
